Finally, the sun has arrived, and the flowers are all blooming! It was a perfect time for us to meet Sophie who works at Shore Sisters in Wysox. It was a pleasure to meet her and her supervisor, Laura. Thank you Shore Sisters for allowing us to get to see the wonderful job that Sophie does!

On April 14th the Employment Coalition provided their 2nd annual Navigating the Employment Process for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. The presentation was a huge success due to the presenters who provided so much valuable information regarding employment, safety and financial services. Over 70 people attended this event. Thank you to the Towanda High School Cafe for providing delicious treats and coffee and to Jones Diner for the great lunch! I hope I don't forget anyone but a huge thank you to our presenters: Dana Neely, Department of Attorney General Office, OVR, Pa. Career Link, Stephen Shope, PaAble, Serve, Inc, Office of Developmental Programs, Penn York Opportunities, Bridge Program, Blast IU 17 transition and for the support of the County Commissioners.

Happy New Year everyone! It has been a busy holiday season for all, and we are happy to be back and able to get out there and meet some great employees and employers in 2026!
It was my pleasure to meet Joe and his employer, Bishop's restaurant in Ulster, Pa. Joe was super excited to talk about his job and to show us what he does! His supervisor, Steve could not have nicer things to say about Joe and is grateful to have him as an employee. Good Job Joe! Keep up the good work!
