Holy Name of Mary Chapel Welcome to Holy Name of Mary Catholic Chapel broadcasting the love of Jesus and Mary from the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania.

Holy Name of Mary is a diverse and affirming independent Catholic parish based in the Endless Mountains of Towanda, PA, and served by priests of the Society of Mercy. We are a welcoming and inclusive parish in the Old Roman Catholic tradition and served by priests of the Society of Mercy. Our senior pastor is Father Daniel Storrs, MA, SSM, and our associate pastor is Father William Young, SSM. We

warmly invite all of Mary's baptized children of goodwill who genuinely seek the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, sacramentally or spiritually, to participate faithfully in our Chapel community; regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or gender expression, sexuality, marital status, socioeconomic status, political affiliation, or other blessed diversities. Take a moment to look at the holy image I am holding, which shows the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary: two hearts marked by love, sorrow, mercy, kindness, and faithfulness.

The heart of Jesus is tender, not because it is weak, but because it refuses to become cruel. His heart remains open to the weary, the wounded, the forgotten, and the burdened. And beside him, Mary’s Immaculate Heart reminds us of a motherly love that stays faithful even in suffering.

These holy hearts call us back to mercy over judgment, compassion over arrogance, and love that protects human dignity. The heart of Christ is open. The question is whether ours will be… ❤️‍🔥✝️🙏

What if the Eucharist is meant to do more than comfort us? On Corpus Christi, we remember that Christ gives himself completely: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. In the living bread from heaven, God does not remain distant. God comes near. God feeds the hungry heart. God places mercy into our hands and says, “Remain in me.”

But receiving the Body of Christ must change how we see every wounded member of that Body in the world. We cannot adore Christ at the altar and ignore Christ in the poor, the lonely, the rejected, the immigrant, the refugee, the q***r person, or anyone whose dignity is denied. The Eucharist teaches us that love is not an idea. Love becomes flesh. Love draws near. Love gives itself away. This Corpus Christi, may we receive Christ with reverence, and then become what we receive: bread broken for the life of the world. You are the Body of Christ.
