πŸ’šMay is Mental Health Awareness Month πŸ’š

A reminder that your wellbeing matters just as much as your work, responsibilities, and daily commitments. πŸ’š

Taking care of your mental health is important, and even small moments of rest, connection, and self-care can make a difference. To help highlight the importance of wellbeing, here at CESA 9, Madeline Conrad created a short video focused on mental health, self-care, and supporting one another.

We encourage you to take a few moments to watch, reflect, and remember: you are important, and your wellbeing matters.

Hello, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we often focus on resources and strategies for students. Yet, the most important way to support our students and colleagues is by prioritizing our own wellbeing. Parents often write our students permission slips to miss school, go on field trips, ...

Join us for the 3rd Annual Dick Lind Memorial Golf Scramble!
Dick was a lifelong educator in the Mosinee School District and, during his retirement, an integral part of our Excellence in Teaching Program Team! Sadly, he passed away in May of 2022. His family knew that ETP was near and dear to him, so a scholarship fund for ETP students was established in his name. All proceeds from the golf outing will support this scholarship fund.

All abilities welcome! Don't golf!? Join us for co****le, putting games, raffles, giveaways, and lunch!

Wisconsin’s Youth Apprenticeship program continues to grow, and we’re proud to be part of this work through our partnership with YA. According to a recent BizTimes article ( https://biztimes.com/youth-apprenticeship-enrollment-in-wisconsin-once-again-hits-record-high/), the program continues to reach record-breaking enrollment across the state.
For the 2025–26 school year, a record 12,141 students are participating statewide, a 7% increase from last year along with over 8,100 employers helping students gain real-world experience.

Youth Apprenticeship gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn while they learn, combining hands-on work experience with classroom instruction in fields like health science, manufacturing, marketing, and more.
πŸ‘ Shoutout to our CESA 9 school districts offering Youth Apprenticeship programs:
Crandon, Elcho, Lakeland Union High School, Laona, Northland Pines, Phelps, Rhinelander, Three Lakes, and Tomahawk High Schools.
πŸ‘ A special thank you to Miranda Ritger and Amanda Roberts for the work they do behind the scenes to support Youth Apprenticeship at CESA 9!
At CESA 9, we’re proud to support opportunities that help students explore career pathways, build valuable skills, and prepare for their futures.

Shoutout to Kate Totch, Associate Director of Special Education Services at CESA 9, for an outstanding presentation yesterday at the Wisconsin Council of Administrators of Special Services (WCASS) conference!

Kate, along side Kristy Erickson (Associate Director of Student Services at CESA 8 ), presented on Explicit Instruction: Moving Specially Designed Instruction Forward, helping participants build a shared understanding of explicit instruction as a strategy to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. Her session highlighted how explicit instruction can be effectively aligned within existing district structures and routines to strengthen and enhance SDI in meaningful, practical ways.

Kate absolutely rocked it and represented CESA 9 so well. Proud of the work she’s doing to support educators and, most importantly, students. πŸ‘
