Congratulations to our friend Nikki Martens on 9 years of recovery! 🎉💜

We may not have known you for a long time, but in the time we've had the privilege of knowing you, you've become an important part of the Soul Path family. Your strength, kindness, honesty, and willingness to keep showing up inspire more people than you probably realize.

You are an incredible mother, a loyal friend, and a beautiful example of what recovery can look like one day at a time.

Now, we know you don't like being celebrated, but sometimes you have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. 😉 Today, we're celebrating you anyway.

We see you.
We appreciate you.
We love you.

Thank you for allowing us to walk a small part of this journey with you. Nine years is no small accomplishment—it's thousands of choices, countless lessons, and a whole lot of courage.

Congratulations, Nikki. We are proud of you. ❤️

🪵 THE DEN: A Men’s Group 🪵

A man doesn’t become stronger by carrying more. He becomes stronger by facing what he’s been carrying. The Den is a place for growth, accountability, and connection.

A place to sharpen each other, challenge each other, and support each other through life’s struggles. Because real strength isn’t found in isolation it’s built in community. 🤝

Ross lost both of his children to addiction.
Jess lost her husband to a one-time relapse.

And somehow…
they’re still here talking about love, hope, and recovery.

There’s a moment in this conversation where Ross says the first deep breath he took in years… was when he found out his daughter passed away.

Not because he didn’t love her.
Because he did.

But because the fear was finally over.

That part is hard for people to understand unless they’ve lived it.

This episode is about grief.
But it’s also about mercy.
About exhaustion.
About families carrying things nobody sees.

And about what happens when people finally tell the truth about it.

If you’ve lost somebody…
If you’re scared you might…
Or if you’re the person still fighting your way back…

Recovery has shown me the most human parts of people.

Not perfection. Not polished versions of ourselves.
Just raw, honest humanity.

People trying again after failing.
People learning how to feel emotions they buried for years.
People fighting battles nobody else can see.
People carrying guilt, trauma, shame, grief… and still choosing to heal anyway.

Recovery reminds me that we are all human before anything else. We all want connection. We all want understanding. We all want to feel worthy of love and belonging.

Sometimes healing looks strong.
Sometimes it looks messy.
Sometimes it looks like simply getting through the day without giving up.

There is something incredibly powerful about watching people drop the masks and finally say, “This is who I am, and I’m still trying.”

That’s humanity.
And honestly, that’s beautiful.

Memorial Day isn’t just about flags, cookouts, or a long weekend. It’s about remembering the people who carried burdens most of us will never fully understand… and still stood up anyway.

Some came home changed forever.
Some never came home at all.

Today we honor the sacrifice. We hold space for the grief. We remember that freedom was never free.

May we live in a way that makes their sacrifice mean something. 🇺🇸🤟🏻

Remember. Honor. Heal. Rise.
