Community-based rowing club in The Woodlands, TX, dedicated to competitive, masters and open rowing. Learn to Row - The program includes three lessons.

You will be taught by individuals that have hundreds of hours of rowing experience. Lessons are provided privately or semi-private. Contact us to schedule your lessons. Membership - After completing a Learn-To-Row program, all rowers are eligible to become a member of the Rowing Club of The Woodlands. Club membership provides access to club equipment including recreational and racing shells (singles, doubles, or quads), ergometers, free weights, clinics and social events.

Top eight in the world! So proud of our coach Cam Buchan, representing Great Britain in the men’s solo at the World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals in Qingdao, China. 🐉

Cam Cameron Buchan is a big part of life at Rowing Club of the Woodlands. He works hand in hand with coaches Richard Kelvin and Joe Flynn, putting together our training programs and following our young rowers’ progress along the way. He brings world-class experience and structure to our training, with the energy and encouragement that make the hard work feel possible.

We’re lucky to have him in our corner. His commitment means so much to our athletes, our coaches, and the kind of club we’re building together.

What a great weekend together at this year’s Head of the Charles Regatta!

So proud of our rowers, Mariano Gómez Medrano, Isaac Gregoire, and Titus Bonifazi for representing RCTW. Mariano finished eighth in Men’s Youth Singles for the second year in a row, and Isaac and Titus placed eighth among the U17 crews in Men’s Youth Doubles. So much hard work went into getting here, and watching them race against some of the strongest crews from across the U.S. and abroad was something special.

It was also so good to catch up with familiar faces and cheer on our alumni. Devan Godfrey helped Washington finish fourth in Men’s Championship Eights, and Frankie Andrade finished 17th in Men’s Club Singles representing Texas A&M. We also shared a special moment with Enya Krathaus, now rowing for Princeton, as Coach Joe presented her with her graduation oar. So proud to see where rowing is taking them. Always part of our Woodlands family. 🐉

Thank you to Richard Kelvin and Joe Flynn for the time, patience, and care you give our rowers. Weekends like this mean so much because of everything you help them work toward throughout the year.

And to our parents, families, teammates, and friends who were there with us or cheering from home, thank you for all the support. Between the racing, the reunions, the laughs, and the time together, we’re coming home with so many good memories.

What a day for Devan Godfrey. Our RCTW alum helped Washington’s varsity eight take fourth overall at HOCR 2026, just 4.46 seconds behind the Dutch national crew. Racing among the world’s best, with his Woodlands family cheering him on.

Three years ago, Devan won the youth single on this same river with Coach Joe there. Seeing them together again today says so much about how far he’s come and the relationships that stay with you.

So proud of you, Devan. You’re showing the next generation at RCTW what’s possible. 💚🐉

A special reunion at the Head of the Charles! Coach Joe Flynn presented Rowing Club of The Woodlands alumna Enya Krathaus with her graduation oar—a club tradition honoring our graduating rowers and the mark they leave on our team.

Now rowing for Princeton, Enya continues to make us proud. Congratulations, Enya—you’ll always have a home at RCTW! 💚

What a summer! 🚣 🐉

We’ve wrapped up two fantastic sessions of our Learn to Row Summer Camp and couldn’t be more proud of all the new rowers who stepped into the boat, challenged themselves, and discovered a love for the sport.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible coaching staff for their dedication, patience, and enthusiasm. Your commitment made this summer an unforgettable experience for every athlete.

Now we’re turning our sights to the fall season—let’s keep the momentum going! We can’t wait to see returning rowers back on the water and welcome new faces to the team.
