๐Ÿ’š Just Be Patient and Never Give Up ๐Ÿ’š

Recently, Henry stopped by Amy's House while passing through Temple. What he brought with him was more than a visitโ€”it was a reminder of why Amy's House exists.

Henry's journey has included years of dialysis, multiple cancer diagnoses, and not one, but two kidney transplants. Through every setback, he continued moving forward with faith, perseverance, and hope.

At Amy's House, we often meet families during some of the most difficult chapters of their lives. We see the uncertainty, the exhaustion, and the challenges that come with serious illness and treatment.

What we don't always get to see are the years that follow.

Henry's visit gave us a glimpse of what healing can look like beyond the hospital walls. It reminded us that the stories that begin here don't end when a guest checks out. They continue with family gatherings, milestones, celebrations, and opportunities to encourage others facing similar challenges.

As Henry shared in his own words:

"If my story can help one person keep moving forward, then sharing it is worth it. Never give up hope."

Thank you to everyone who supports Amy's House. Because of your generosity, families facing the hardest days of their lives have a place where healing can begin.

๐Ÿก๐Ÿ’š If you think our house is full... you should see our hearts.

๐Ÿ’™ Today is Audacity to Hope Day. ๐Ÿ’™

Every day at Amy's House, we meet people facing some of life's greatest challenges. Transplant patients waiting for a second chance. Cancer patients enduring difficult treatments. Caregivers carrying the weight of uncertainty.

Yet through it all, we witness something remarkableโ€”hope.

Hope that healing is possible.

Hope that tomorrow will be better.

Hope that they do not have to face the journey alone.

Thank you to every guest, donor, volunteer, and supporter who helps make Amy's House a place where hope lives.

โค๏ธ Because sometimes the bravest thing we can do is have the audacity to hope.

๐Ÿก๐Ÿ’™ **Bittersweet Goodbyes at Amy's House** ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿก

One of the greatest joys of Amy's House is celebrating the day our guests get to go home.

Today, we are saying goodbye to a special cancer patient who has called Amy's House home for the past several months. During treatment, he needed to remain just minutes away from Baylor Scott & White so that he could receive the care and monitoring that his medical team required.

For many cancer patients, returning home isn't immediately possible. The distance from their hometown to treatment, combined with the need for frequent appointments, transfusions, and close medical supervision, means they must temporarily leave behind their own beds, routines, and loved ones. That's where Amy's House steps inโ€”to provide a safe, comfortable place to stay while they focus on healing.

While we will miss seeing his smile in our hallways, sharing conversations around the kitchen table, and being a small part of his journey, our hearts are full knowing that he is healthy enough to return home.

Please join us in wishing him continued healing, strength, and many happy days ahead. And if the road ever brings him back to Temple, he will always have a place here.

Our door is always open. โค๏ธ
