We are posting this for those that may have listened to someone on the street that said we were closing, moving or what ever other term might be used.
We are not closing.
Dirty Dogs will be at our second location Monday & Wednesday. Temple location Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
I'm not sure were the break down came from but I hope now it is clear.
I also want to discuss another issue that I'm going to honestly say has hurt my feelings a little.
I have been a professional groomer for over 30 years. I have always loved working with the dogs, even the not so perfect ones. I have also always worked on making sure that I furthered my education as often as possible. That being said 8 years ago I studied under Dr. Faver and Suzanne Marcetti and received my Certification as a Pet Aestetician. Dirty Dogs has only used the best products I have found and I believe we have gone far beyond what could be expected. I do not believe in add ons for nails, ears and anything else you can think of. I have kept our prices reasonable for the simple reason, I believe everyone should be able to afford grooming their pets.
When the City of Temple started in December of last year, I was very up front with everyone what may happen. I always had our clients and staff in mind.
During this time, we purchased the studio in Rogers. After the City rescinded their offer we still had the building and a plan.
Now to the issue. I totally understand if you don't want to come to Rogers. Your dogs, your choice but we have three days available in Temple. Our regular schedule clients have the first option to those days. I have been pleasantly surprised at how many people are excited for the Rogers location and have already booked appointments.
We will be having a price increase. Like I said, I have always kept prices reasonable and in return our clients have booked their dogs every 1-6 weeks. Everyone is happy.
For new clients our prices will be more in line with what the other shops charge. If you used to be a client and decided you wanted to try another shop, you will also be charged new client prices.
The sad thing to me is, I have always been a giver, my regular clients, I have always considered family. Shoot there are clients that I watched their kids grow up and have kids. I have given away what ever someone needed. I guess to be frank, I'm tired of giving of my self and their being no loyalty. Not even loyalty to call and talk to me about what is going on.
Dirty Dogs and Pearl's Place work extremely hard in education and helping our community with their pets needs.

We are excited about two locations and we are still working through the quirks but I know it will be better on the other side.
P.S. I will take the matted doodles at our Rogers location time permitting.
