When her family needed support, they found a welcoming place to stay close to care and a community that understood the challenges they were facing.

Now, she's giving back by volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Australia, supporting families on their own medical journeys and helping them feel seen, supported and less alone!

At Ronald McDonald House Temple, our mission continues to be centered on helping families stay close when they need each other most. A new name and new look help us share that mission more clearly, but our commitment to providing comfort, care and a place to call home during a child's medical journey hasn't changed. Because when a child needs care, family stays close. And we'll continue to be here to help make that possible.

October 15 holds a special place in our hearts. ❤️

Today marks the anniversary of the opening of the first Ronald McDonald House, and one year since we introduced our modernized brand alongside our Family Stays platform.

Over the last year, Chapters around the world have brought our new brand to life, all while celebrating the families at the heart of our mission.

When a child is ill or injured, family isn’t just there for a visit. They stay for the long haul. Ronald McDonald House makes it stay that way.

This year's team includes healthcare professionals, Chapter staff, volunteers, corporate partners, and passionate supporters from communities around the world.

Different experiences brought them to the starting line, but together they're helping more families access the care, resources, and support they need throughout their child's healthcare journey.

Thanks to the Texas Moose Association and their Heart of the Community Pull Tab Program for bringing 210 pounds of pull tabs to help support families at Ronald McDonald House Temple. Over the past two years combined, the participating lodges have collected a total of 365 pounds! That is a lot of tabs! We appreciate every Lodge, Chapter, family member and community supporter who helped bring this together.

A big congratulations and THANK YOU to our 1,500+ Team Ronald McDonald House runners, volunteers, and incredible sponsors who joined us at this year’s Chicago Marathon as we celebrated the team’s 20th anniversary!

For two decades, runners have gone the distance with one shared goal: helping families stay close to the care their children need.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time to honor the children and families whose lives have been changed by cancer and to recognize all that families navigate throughout their treatment.

Cancer treatment can mean long drives, extended stays, countless appointments, and time away from home. Through it all, families should be able to focus on what matters most: caring for their child and being together.

At Ronald McDonald House, we’re honored to help families stay close to the care their child needs while finding comfort, community, and a sense of home – this September and every day. ❤️

Earlier this month, Texell members voted to select a local nonprofit to receive a $5000 donation from the Texell Serves Foundation. Ronald McDonald House of Temple was chosen with 43% of the vote! Today, we had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful local team as they presented us with this generous check. We are so very honored and humbled as there were so many worthy causes to chose from. Thank you for support.

In the midst of stressful and uncertain times, this family was still able to bring laughter, conversation, art, and delicious smells from the kitchen into the House. Little Joey may still have a few more hurdles but after 104 nights, they are finally going home!

As we recognize this September, we're thinking of the NICU families supported by Ronald McDonald House programs around the world ❤️

Families like baby Grayson's.

Grayson was born early at 33 weeks and needed immediate surgery and specialized care. For nearly a month while Grayson was in the NICU, his parents, Paige and Jordan, stayed just steps away at Ronald McDonald House Louisville

"Being at Ronald McDonald House allowed us to be with Grayson in the NICU as much as possible," Paige says. "It was the biggest blessing to us on our journey."

At Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay, Inc., Olivia and her team helped families get back-to-school ready with fresh haircuts. We're grateful to community members like Olivia who give back in meaningful ways, helping families feel supported and experience moments of normalcy during challenging times.

While Harlow and Hadley were in the NICU, the Rardon family found comfort and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. Now, the twins have made it a tradition to give back by volunteering at the House each year, even spending part of their birthday this year packing lunches and preparing a meal for families staying at the House.
