Happy Day of Portugal! 🇵🇹 ♥️

Portugal Day (officially Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas) is celebrated annually on June 10.

This national public holiday commemorates the death of the legendary Portuguese poet Luís de Camões on June 10, 1580, and celebrates the country's rich history and culture.

🍇🧀 A true showstopper!

The charcuterie table at the 3rd Annual Taste of Portugal was nothing short of amazing. Heart of Taunton board member Karen, along with a team of dedicated volunteers, transformed local meats, cheeses, fruits, cod fish cakes, queso S. Jorge and many other accompaniments into a stunning display that was as much a work of art as it was delicious.

A huge thank you to Karen and all the volunteers who helped create one of the evening's most talked-about features! 🇵🇹❤️

Our dessert table featured an incredible selection of traditional Portuguese sweets sourced from local bakeries, giving our guests an authentic taste of Portugal from start to finish.

From beloved classics to irresistible pastries, every bite was a celebration of Portuguese heritage and culture.

A year of planning has come down to loading and unloading a U-Haul! 🇵🇹🚚

Today was all hands on deck as our incredible volunteers loaded, unloaded, organized, and transformed a trailer full of decorations, merchandise, and event supplies into the vision for the 3rd Annual Taste of Portugal.

The teamwork, energy, and enthusiasm have been nothing short of amazing. We are tired, excited, and ready to welcome everyone to what promises to be our best event yet.

Tomorrow we celebrate. Let's do this! 🇵🇹❤️💚
