Thank you to all who organized, attended and participated in today's Day of Portugal festivities.

Mayor O'Connell welcomed Paul Ferreira, Teresa Mello, the Greater Taunton Day of Portugal Committee, local and state officials, Portuguese Consul Dr. Tiago De Sousa, AF JROTC, Portuguese Veterans, visiting educators and students from Portugal, and Taunton residents to City Hall to celebrate the Day of Portugal.

Mayor O'Connell presented the Day of Portugal Committee with a Proclamation in honor of the Day of Portugal and presented a Citation to the family of Eduino deFaria (a beloved Portuguese Veteran and member of our community who was unable to attend in person).
