The Fix It Friday Crew shows what happens when students from across the valley come together with a mentor ready to teach them how to work with their hands. Along the way, they've become more than students—now they're friends and a team, tackling automotive projects, mechanical puzzles, welding, and more.
This crew isn't afraid of a challenge—they run straight at it. Last year, when the Combine Demolition Derby was announced, it was only natural for them to dive right in and build their combine from the ground up. They named her Layla. This year, with support from local business JTI Supply, the team upgraded Layla for her next battle.
Layla is back for round two, with Mady Vandiver again behind the wheel and a full season of lessons learned. As Eric Clapton warned, Layla is a dangerous woman—and this year, the other teams already know it.
