Important Announcements and Updates ‼️‼️

Dear MACS members,

We wanted to take a moment to let everyone know about an upcoming change in our payment process. Beginning 6/8/26, we will transition to a new payment method. We are no longer using PayPal as a form of credit card payments. For best and quick access, we have created a QR code that you can scan directly from our website. Please go to the website and go to our membership tab. From there, you will find the membership form you must fill out and the new QR codes. Memberships must be renewed yearly.

We also take payment forms via check sent to new address on membership form along with day of cash. Please do not send cash via mail.

Also, please note there is a new address on the membership form that it must be sent to. Even with paying through our new automated system, we must receive that membership form. **Anyone who sent their check already to the previous address is being forwarded to the new address**. MACS is growing and updates are underway to make everything flow as smooth as possible.

Attached below is our MACS website link where you can find the new membership form along with our new system for credit card payments.

Self-Care Matters

Taking time for yourself isn’t a luxury- it’s important for your health and happiness. 🤍 Whether it’s enjoying a quite cup of coffee ☕️ , taking a peaceful walk👟, reading a favorite book 📖, or spending time with friends, little moments of self-care can make a big difference.

Today, we encourage everyone to pause, relax, and do something that brings you joy.

Meet Whitney Walck,

She is the face behind social media. She’s more of a behind-the-scenes type of girl.

For the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in healthcare-a journey that started right after high school when I was searching for my path. I was fortunate to find a job close to home that quickly became so much more than just a job, it became my career.

Having a great grandmother who lived in a senior living community inspired me to apply for an activity assistant position, and from that moment on, I knew I had found my calling. Along the way, I was blessed with incredible role models who encouraged me to continue my education and grow in this field.

In 2022, I proudly became a certified activity director, and I haven’t looked back since. I’m truly grateful every day to do work that I love and that makes a difference in the lives of others.

One of my favorite parts about what I do is simply sitting and listening to our residence stories. The experiences they’ve lived through, the memories they share, there’s so much wisdom and heart in every conversation. I could listen all day.

The best feeling is seeing them smile. That moment reminds me that all the time, effort, and love we pour into each day truly matters.

As activity professionals, we do a lot, but sometimes, a simple smile is all we need to know, we’re making a difference.

Get to know…ME

My First Job Ever: Receptionist at NuVogue Hair and Tanning Studio (I still get my hair done here and love catching up with the girls)
Favorite Work Activity: Outings, because fresh air is needed sometimes in the middle of the day. It’s a time to refresh and go into the rest of the day with a good mind reset.
Favorite Hobbies: Coffee and Tjmax trips. Spending time with my family (especially my niece and nephews) and friends at tractor pulls/shows.
Favorite Food: Pizza (could eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner)
What will you always find in my hand? Diet Coke
What is my favorite thing on my desk: Cards from residents/staff celebrating exciting things all year. Along with words of encouragement notes that I have been given. I try and keep every single little card/gift given to me over the years in a box. Being able to go through it and reminisce brings me joy.
