Senior spotlight ✨💛🖤✨

"Dearest Gentle Readers, it is time for you to find out whom am I. My name is Jorianne Lue. I have been dancing for more than 6/7 years. Over my 4 years of high school, I have earned many achievements. I've had the pleasure of being a member of the National Dance Honor Society, an ambassador for the Dance department, National Honor Society, member of Key Club, Black Student Union (BSU), and First Priority Club. I was Captain of Lady Jacket basketball team, member of the Sting Dance team, co-Captain in softball, and track and field. I was selected to play in the All-Star basketball games for Hillsborough County. I received a master's certification in dance and a Florida Fine Arts Seal. I am graduating with 5.4 GPA and plans to attend Warner University majoring in Exercise Science and Sports Management. First and foremost I would like to thank my Lord and Savior for ALL HE has done for me. Secondly, I would like to thank my parents, my brother (Javon), and close family and friends for all their love and support throughout my 4 years at Blake HS. Thirdly, I want to thank Ms. Albena and Ms. Rayl for always seeing the best in me, pushing me when they need to with all their love and support. To my classmates - I love you always and I will never forget you. To the class of 2026, we're finally done, now let shoot towards the stars... JLue out!!!"

Hi my name is Anyonelis Lopez Maldonado and I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. Ive had the pleasure of being apart of the National Dance Honors Society. I’m going to attend St. Thomas University in Miami majoring in Nursing to get my BSN on Presidential and Villanova Scholarships. I would like the thank god, my mom, and all my dance teachers throughout the years who always taught me to strive to be the best version of myself and never give up.

Senior spotlight ✨💛🖤✨

My name's Alisha Brooks and I've been dancing for 14 years. Throughout my journey here at Blake, I've become apart of the National Society of High School Scholars and the National Honors Society for Dance Arts. In addition, I've also recieved master certification for Dance Arts. Although I'm undecided, I have recieved scholarships from Joffrey, Columbia College Chicago, and Radford University. I've also been acknowledged by AMDA, Slippery Rock, Sam Houston, Kennesaw, Southern Illinois, Nazareth, Dean College, Ruth Page, and Columbus State. My goal is to attend and major in a college to recieve my BFA in Dance and afterward I plan to dance for a company, audition for jobs, and continue choreographing. I would like to thank every one of my mentors from On The Edge at FRDS for giving me the technique, strength, diversity, and discipline. For that I'm forever grateful. Thank you to Mrs. Albena and Ms. Rayl for giving me the oppurtunity to share my passion for dance beyond the studio you'll always have a special place in my heart. To my friends and family who have supported me through thick and thin, I couldn't have done any of this without you. And lastly, I will thank God for blessing me everyday with such a gift for dance.

my name is Jiselle gomez, i’ve been dancing for 6 years. My biggest achievements during high school is booking gigs and improving my skills. My plans after high school are to become an music artist/songwriter, and move to NY after two years in FL. I’m very grateful for my family that supported me and helped me through my journey.

Hi my name is Darielle Watson I started dancing at the age of 10. I’ve had the pleasure of being a sting captain and 3 year member , I am apart of the national honor society, national dance honor society , black student union, key club , and first priority . I have received master certification in dance, the Florida fine arts seal, and an award for aspiring dance performer. I am graduating with a 5.8 Gpa and plan to attend Howard University majoring in criminology and entering the BA- JD program on merit and academic excellence scholarships. I would like to thank God,my mom , and all of my teachers throughout the years for their support. My time at Blake high school has truly been a blessing and I am excited for what’s coming next.

Hi my name is Nadya Monet Adams and I have been dancing for 7 years!! I am the vice-president of the NDHS board, and I will be attending the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City with a full dance scholarship, and I will also be attending The University of Akron online were I have also received two academic scholarships and may be doing their honors college!! I want to thank Mrs. Albena and Mrs. Ray! for all they have taught me and I am so blessed and thankful for all that God has done for me and where he is taking me!!

Hi I'm Allison Aquino and I’ve been dancing 7 years. I give my time to volunteering for the dance department whenever I can and improving in my technique. I’m going to hcc for psychology then transferring to usf. Thank you to my teachers who have lead me to becoming a better dance and thank you to all my friends who inspire me every.
