Our Art Expression Night centered around a powerful question: “Who am I?”
We reflected on the labels and experiences we can carry, the difference between our past and our identity, and the truths God speaks over us: known, loved, chosen, seen, worthy, accepted, strong, free and created with purpose.
Then everyone was invited to put those reflections onto a canvas. And I love how completely different each piece is.
There is no “right” way to make the art. We all have our own process and outcomes… and healing journeys don’t all look the same either.
Sometimes creativity gives us a way to express something our words haven’t quite learned how to say yet. And sometimes seeing truth in our own handwriting, colors and images helps us begin to believe in what is true and step into what is to come.
We’d love to hear from you:
If you were given a blank canvas and asked to paint who you and who you are becoming (not what your past says you are) what would you create? 🎨
