Wow - another spectacular day honoring 5 more Legacy Businesses in the Crossroads! Congratulations to Red Apple Farmers Market, McDoris Fashion and Fabrics, El Alazan Western Wear, Dr Araya, and Dr. Levi! Together, these business owners have spent decades in the Crossroads as vital entrepreneurs. The culture of the Crossroads would be nowhere without them! Thank you again to all our community members for joining us, especially Councilmember Amy Wesolek and Cecily Thorne, Chief of Staff for Councilmember Kate Stewart, for presenting certificates to each business. It's Legacy Business Week in Takoma Park, and we're celebrating today with 5 Legacy Business Proclamations. Thank you to everyone who came out to support their favorite local business in the Crossroads. We had a dozen fans of Sarah Fabrics, extended family, and so many more who showed their appreciation for these businesses. Special thanks to Mayor Searcy of Takoma Park, Council Member Amy Wesolek, and city staff members Krissi Humbard and Devin McNally. We also had support from Purple Line and the Purple Line Corridor Coalition, who came out to cheer on our businesses.
