TACID Promoting the wellness, recovery and resilience of adults experiencing disabilities in Pierce County. All services are provided free of charge.

TACID (Tacoma Area Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities) is a peer led and directed nonprofit. TACID serves adults experiencing a spectrum of physical, cognitive, developmental, sensory, mental and bevavioral health disabilities and challenges. Guided by the principles of Intentional Peer Support, TACID services include peer support groups, wellness activities, information and referrals, and opportunities for inclusive recreation and community.

Greetings Friends, Followers and Supporters! Today, we're excited and very pleased to share that we EXCEEDED our 2026 Backyard Benefit & Silent Auction fundriasing goal of $60,000! As of today, we have raised $63,271! THANK YOU to eveyone who attended, donated, bought raffle tickets and bid in the Silent Auction. The connection and belonging we saw at our Backyard Benefit isn't something TACID creates just once a year. It's what happens here every day.

TACID is a place where adults with disabilities can find peer support, build relationships, participate in wellness and recovery programs, and simply have a place where they belong.

Our community has already helped us raise $58,000 of our $60,000 Backyard Benefit goal!

Greetings and Happy Friday! We're back to normal at TACID after last week's celebration and fundraiser. Again, we want to say THANK YOU! to everyone who helped to make it such a wonderful day.

Our Backyard Benefit may be over, but we're not quite finished. We're just $9,000 away from our goal to raise $60,000. Over the next couple weeks, we're inviting you to help us carry the joy and generosity we felt on Saturday, all the way to $60K!

Of course, it's never too late to donate. But, as it turns out, we have two new auction items and two that didn't receive any bids in our Silent Auction, so we're giving you the chance to Make One More Bid on:

Greetings Friends and Followers! Our Backyard Benefit and Silent Auction last Saturday was such a wonderful event—we're still feeling the joy!

Nearly 100 people gathered at TACID for an afternoon of music, laughter, good food, a bit of friendly competition, and most importantly, community.

We saw friends reconnect. We welcomed new folks. Our participants, staff supporters, volunteers, sponsors, board members, friends and neighbors all came together for a few hours that reminded us how special TACID's community is.

And you showed up in an incredible way—together, we raised $51,000 towards our $60,000 goal.

We're deeply grateful for every person who attended, donated, bid, sponsored, volunteered, shared our event or simply cheered us on!

Our Backyard Benefit and Silent Auction is in two days! We hope you'll join us on Saturday, September 12th from 12PM-3PM, for our first outdoor fundraising event. Here's what we have in store:
