The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), founded in 1890, is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education
for children. The merger of the Robert Morris, organized in 1909, and Quaker City, organized in 1897, chapters was affected on April 17, 1995, as a result of the dedicated efforts of chapter regents. Both the Robert Morris and Quaker City chapters were chartered in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Robert Morris-Quaker City Chapter, NSDAR, carries on the legacy, and is chartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
