It's with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Honorary member Larry Predmore. Larry was the father of Ladies Auxiliary member Amy Breitenbach and father-in-law to President Chris Breitenbach. Larry was a lifelong supporter of the Pochuck Fire Dept. He was a true friend to everyone. You would find him at every function the fire dept had, with a story to tell. He will be missed by all.

This morning crews from Highland Lakes Fire Department and our department brought apparatus to Vernon Municipal Building to participate in a touch a truck for “Bring your kid to Work” day. The children got to enjoy the apparatus along with equipment from the DPW, Vernon Police, and Vernon Emergency Medical Services.

Today in Lake Wanda, the swift response of The Highland Lakes Fire Department, Vernon Fire Department, Pochuck Fire Department, and McAfee Fire Department to a structure fire showcased their remarkable teamwork and expertise, turning a potentially disastrous situation into a testament to community resilience, with Mutual Aid Companies from Warwick, UGL, Hardyston, and Sussex providing crucial support, and fortunately, no injuries were reported despite significant damage to the structure and a vehicle.
