Earlier today I had the honor of assisting ex-Commander Rich Johnson with temporarily moving the Sussex and Wantage WWII Memorial Plaques which are currently stored inside Sussex Borough Hall, to the Sussex American Legion Auxiliary Post 213 so that for the first time in many years, the people whose names appear on them will be honored on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 at 12PM at the Post at 915 State Route 23 North in Wantage. Our Heros who made the ultimate sacrifice as listed on the plaque are as follows:
Sussex Borough:
Frank McClusky, John R. Trudgen, Phillip W. Ayers, Daniel K. Marvin, Donald Rose, Henry Mangles, Carlous Withey.
Wantage Township:
Edward Barton, Edward R. Hornbeck, Elmer w. Quince, Robert Gemmer, Howard L. Van Etten, James T. Weston.
I hope that you can join us at noon on Monday to help honor these men.

We fought off this mornings rain and Sussex Councilman John Ross and I got up 10 of our Hometown Hero Banners. We can only hang them back up on the newly retro fitted lightpoles. We are awaiting JCP&L to complete the retro fit, we will continue to get them back up as they do. Unfortunately we couldn't get them all back up for Memorial Day, but lets hope that by the parade on July 18, they will all be proudly hanging again.
