The stage is set...... the finale of our 6th season of the American Heroes Golf Tour will kick off on America's 250th B-day!

The two day Ryder Cup format "Heroes Cup" is a celebration of the vets and first responders who participate in our league.

Players earn one point for playing in any of our 12 tournaments, along with additional points for a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place finish in any of our flights.

The golf, uniforms and food are completely comped for the Heroes Cup participants.

The responders lead the series 3-2.

Graduation Day at one of our east valley PGA HOPE sites!

There was some stiff competition at our 9 hole graduation scramble, with the winning team coming in at -6, barely edging out two groups at -5!

Always a pleasure to make it out to Chandler, AZ and see what fantastic instruction Sandy, Ben and Brad have given our veterans over the 6 week lesson plan.

The results are in!

Absolutely fantastic conditions and fast, undulating greens challenged our veterans and first responders in day 2 of our State Championship.

All 5 flights came down to the wire.... and it came down to who held it together best around the greens.

Our 6th season will come to its official close on 4th of July weekend, with both courses at TPC Scottsdale hosting the "Heroes Cup", our Ryder Cup format challenge for our top 12 points earners during the season.

Day one of our 6th Annual State Championship was at the Desert Springs course at The Grand in Surprise, AZ this morning.

With water on 14 of 18 holes, and greens that were dry and hard to hold.... the competition was fierce!

Accuracy and good putting were a must, and our vets and first responders were on top of it!

The top 4 in each of our flights are within mere strokes of each other, and day two on the Granite Falls North course tomorrow will come down to who can putt the best.

The stage is set for some State Championship titles to be earned as the American Heroes Golf Tour brings its finale to Desert Springs GC and Granite Falls North GC this weekend in Surprise, AZ.

At the culmination of this weekends competition, the final league points will be earned and the top 6 Veterans and top 6 First Responders will win entry to our 2 day Ryder Cup format "Heroes Cup" to be contested at the TPC Scottsdale Champions and Stadium courses over 4th of July weekend.

The regular season finale was closely contested in all of our flights.

The course was in fantastic shape, and with water hazards on 16 of 18 holes, there was lots of danger lurking for our veterans and first responders.

Plenty of pressure also, as league points are at a premium going into our 2 day State Championship this coming weekend.

Besides a State title...the last chance to earn points leading to the top 12 golfers winning their way into the Heroes Cup on 4th of July weekend at TPC Scottsdale are on the line.
