We gave Zane Lasater an appreciation buckle for saving this rodeo The Wise County Youth Fair Rodeo has been a staple in Wise County since the 1960's. The rodeo was always ran by the Youth Fair Committee. A few years back the Youth Fair Board decided to drop the rodeo. Fortunately, Zane Lasater stepped up to keep the rodeo going. Zane and Brown Rodeo Company worked diligently to keep this youth rodeo a part of the community. Zane and a few friends did whatever was needed to be done to keep kids rodeoing in our area. Zane rode bulls, many times in this very arena during his school days. Zane graduated in 1989 and continued riding bulls until 1996.
Zane eventually turned the workings of the rodeo over to the current Wise County Youth Rodeo Board. Without Zane's effort, this rodeo would have lost the momentum to be what it is today. Zane, please accept this Lifetime friend buckle as a token of the board's appreciation.
