Charis Hills Camp

Charis Hills Camp Charis Hills is a Christian Summer Camp for kids with learning and social difficulties such as autism, Asperger's, ADD, AD/HD. This activity is called Nova.

Our goal is to provide a positive camp experience for kids while sharing the good news about Jesus Christ. Charis Hills is a Christian special needs, recreational summer camp helping children with learning differences build confidence and find success. We serve campers ages 7-18 and offer multiple week sessions. We welcome campers with ADHD, Learning Disabilities, speech/language and hearing impai

rment, emotional/behavioral challenges including high functioning Autism and Asperger's. Camp is a great place to teach social skills. We help parents and camper select specific social skills goals for their time at camp. Our well trained counselors do an excellent job of modeling social skills, providing positive reinforcement and facilitating relationships. Camp is a great place to make friends. We offer Swimming, Canoeing/Kayaking, Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Drama/Film, Music/Dance, Riflery, Archery, Fishing, Arts & Crafts, Photo Journalism, Geocaching, Cowboy golf, Animal Care, Nature Studies, S***t Shooting, Gardening, Snorkeling, Team Sports and much more. Campers also receive academic instruction by certified teachers for one activity period each day. Charis Hills is located one hour from Dallas & Fort Worth in the beautiful Cross Timbers or Northern Texas Hill Country! We also offer spring and fall Family Camp weekend programs that are both educational and recreational for the whole family.
