SEPTEMBER AT BOWIE MISSION 💙

September brought an increase in families served, and we’re so grateful for the continued support of our community.

In September, Bowie Mission served 328 families, reaching 1,030 individuals:

* 343 children ages 0–17
* 499 adults ages 18–59
* 188 seniors ages 60+
* 23 veteran households

Behind every number is a person, a family, and a story. Thank you to everyone who continues to give, volunteer, donate, and show up for our neighbors. Your support is making a real difference right here in our community.

Thank you to everyone who gave! Please remember our Mission as we continue to serve the hungry in our own neighborhoods!

💙 This is what community looks like.
Through the Bowie Mission, 378 local families received food assistance, including 28 new households and 27 veterans.

That means 971 people in our community received food:
👧 316 children
👨 465 adults
👵 190 seniors
And through the Bowie Rotary Club, 193 children have also received shoe vouchers—helping provide something as simple, yet meaningful, as a new pair of shoes. 👟

I think I can speak for everyone at the Aimee Ashley Freebird Group when I say how proud we are of the people, organizations, and volunteers who continue to show up for our community.

Bowie takes care of Bowie—and that’s something worth celebrating.

In mid July one of our supporters mistakenly donated a suitcase with some of her jewelry still inside the suitcase. If you picked up a brown suitcase on Thursday July 16th or Thursday July 23rd at the Bowie Mission and noticed a drawstring bag containing a gold nugget ring along with some necklaces and a pair of earrings we would appreciate so very much if you would return those items.

Thank you to the Bowie Rotary Club for providing 72 students with shoes through their Happy Feet Program 🤩👟🥾

We are still serving record numbers! In June we served 309 families in Montague Co! If you can please continue to donate crackers, cereal, pancake mix, jelly and pop tarts. We certainly appreciate everyone who generously gave last month.

The Bowie Rotary Club is partnering with us to help provide shoe 🥿vouchers for school age children. We will begin handing out the vouchers July 23 at the Mission.🥾👟
