We wrapped up an incredible week of Summer Camp filled with creativity, hands-on learning, community exploration, and plenty of fun! Here's a look at how our campers spent the final days of camp:
π₯ Wednesday: Our campers got their creative juices flowing by working together to create social stories. They also broke into groups to practice kitchen skills, including measuring ingredients, stove safety, and learning how to flip toast and pancakes. We cooked up a delicious breakfast feast featuring plain, chocolate chip, and blueberry pancakes, along with bacon and fresh fruit! We wrapped up the day with a fun-filled Art Club session.
π¦ Thursday: We finished the week by exploring our community! After another fun music therapy session, we headed to Ashley River Park, where Ms. Reeves taught us all about reptiles. Campers loved learning about and observing the fascinating creatures that live in our local ponds.
π The adventure continued with a visit to the Dorchester County Library, where campers checked out books, played games in the teen room, and enjoyed this summer's exciting theme: Dinosaurs!
From building life skills to making new friends and exploring our community, Week 1 was full of growth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We can't wait to see what Week 2 brings!
