Autistic Angels Foundation Autistic Angels Foundation, was founded in 2005. I created this to become more knowledgeable to help my son Ricky, who is now 31 years of age. 🙏✝️💕.

Autistic Angels Foundation has announced that they are preparing their filing for designation as 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization designed to help Autistic people of all ages. Second, the Foundation has initiated its website -- www.autisticangelsfoundation.com -- this website will be contoured as a search engine which will bring all medical facilities to the finger tips, of parents and care givers who are in desperate need of respite. It will list all hospitals, clinics and churches in an area closest to a zip code entered in search. The founder of Autistic Angels, Linda Hawk-Leonard, made the following statement: “Being a mother of my beautiful autistic son Ricky for 19 years, I searched the world for answers and for help. I made endless calls to my local police department … even they had no answers. All I got was to be placed on a waiting list, while at same time, I could not take my eyes off my child or he would be gone -- Ricky would vanish in seconds. This was the first challenge. The second challenge was to live a normal life, to keep a marriage, to keep a business or job functioning, and to especially stabilize the household for my three other children. My prayer is to reach out to the world to support transforming this site into a real information source and a tool for those parents who have Autistic children.”

Autistic Angels has a second phase as well -- That is to team up with churches, plus doctors and medical facilities, to build a nation-wide medical clinic for the purpose of providing 3-to-5 day ‘short stay’ visits for Autistic children, allowing for parent and sibling respites.

A few weeks ago, I asked a question on here: “What would you like other people to know about trigeminal neuralgia?”

One answer that came up several times was that people wanted others to understand that trigeminal neuralgia isn't a headache. Taking paracetamol or Advil won't usually help.

Trigeminal neuralgia is pain arising from the trigeminal nerve in the face. The usual over-the-counter painkillers used for headaches and other everyday aches don't generally work for this type of nerve pain.

Most parents look forward to watching their children grow up, become independent, and build lives of their own.

But for those of us raising children who will always need someone to care for them, the future looks very different.

It's wondering who will protect your child when you're no longer here. Who will understand their needs? Who will have the patience? Who will love them, care for them, and keep them safe?

We aren't just worried about tomorrow.

We're worried about the rest of their lives. Even the years after ours have ended.

And that is a fear only another lifelong caregiver can truly understand.

One of my prayers for my children is that they learn how to treat people who can do absolutely nothing for them.

The child who gets overlooked. The person who is difficult to understand. Someone who doesn’t fit in with everyone else.

Lord, teach my children to notice people, not just crowds. Give them the kindness to include someone without being asked, the humility to show respect without expecting recognition, and the courage to be compassionate even when nobody else is.

May the way they treat others reflect the love You’ve shown them.

A gentle mechanical treatment doubled the brain’s fluid drainage—but so far, the breakthrough has been demonstrated only in mice.

Scientists mapped previously overlooked pathways that carry cerebrospinal fluid from the brain through lymphatic vessels around the face and neck. This fluid helps remove metabolic waste and proteins such as amyloid-beta and tau, which are associated with neurodegenerative diseases.

Using a force-controlled device to stimulate superficial lymphatic vessels through intact skin, researchers doubled cerebrospinal fluid outflow and restored impaired drainage in aged mice—without drugs or surgery.

The results could eventually inspire wearable or clinical devices designed to support the brain’s natural clearance system. However, this was not an Alzheimer’s-prevention trial, and there is currently no evidence that ordinary facial or neck massage can prevent the disease in humans. Human studies are still needed to establish safety and effectiveness.
