We are very blessed to see Arlington’s brother Jeffrey continue to carry out Arlington’s vision of providing education for the children in DuClos. Arlington, we know you are smiling in Heaven as you see more and more kids come back to school each day. We miss you! Please join us in prayer for all of the schools in Haiti as they begin classes.

This is not a message I want to have to type but here we are. Arlington, you had the biggest heart! You started a school on your own to provide education for the children in your village. SoO was so blessed to get to work with you. You had passion to make a difference! You had a heart that loved so greatly and those that got to know you were immensely blessed. I will miss our weekly what’s app conversations over daily devotions, dreams for the school, your family, and more. I hate that the sickness that overcame you happened so quickly. Even though you were confined to a wheel chair and very weak you still pushed on daily. You wanted to be there with the children to provide for them and your teachers. You wanted to see your farm come to fruition. You were the hardest worker I know.
I am thankful to know that your body is now completely healed. You have a new body and you now are blessed with your eternal life in Heaven. How great the reward! I know that the legacy of your school will continue on and I pray that God will give you a little peek now and then to see the lives that you changed and that will continue to be changed all because you cared. God used you for a great purpose and that purpose will be carried on within your school.
We love you, we miss you already, and we can’t wait to see you again some day. We will be awaiting that big smile of yours!

Grace Bath partnered with Pastor Chelo in Bercy to host a medical and dental clinic. Over the course of a few days they were able to see 110 people! We love to see churches partnering with their Haitian Pastors in ways that bless the community.

Another cool story out of all of this is that the young man pictured third from left is a dental student that is sponsored by one of our SoO supporters. Jeandel is in his final year (internship year) of dental school and will graduate next May. Jeandel grew up in Bercy and has been mentored by Chelo and his wife and through their school. We thank Jeandel for wanting to go and give back to the community that has supported him. May he continue to be a mentor to the kids in the school in Bercy and may this also encourage our sponsors to see the great things that are still being done in Haiti! If you would like to sponsor a high school student who is preparing to move to the next level of education please reach out as we have numerous students in Canaan and Bercy who are wanting to pursue a college degree in Haiti.

Big news coming soon! SoO is adding two new board members! We can’t wait to share who! Stay tuned in the weeks to come! Looking forward to sharing in the to do’s so we can keep everyone more updated as to what’s going on with the schools in Haiti. We also hope to be able to fundraise more to get medical clinics back into the schools and their communities. It’s not an easy task with the gangs still having majority control of Haiti. It can be done but it takes a lot of planning and a lot more funds than it uses to.
If you would like to make a donation specifically to go to medical clinics, please go to www.significanceofone.org and make a one time donation. Please put in comments - medical clinic.
We have two young men from Bercy who have been in dental school. They have one year left which will be their internship. We would like to have them be a part of the clinic and serving the school with their dental expertise!

Arlington’s school has students working hard and learning about agriculture. Please continue to pray for Arlington as he has been very sick and unable to be a part of all the day to day with the school.
