Happy 250th from the Sudbury Art Association. What a joy it was once again to join the Sudbury tradition of their annual Fourth of July parade. Thanks to our wonderful team of volunteers for creating such a fantastic (and prize winning!) float as well as for braving the heat wave to bring enjoyment to thousands along the parade route! We are proud to be pat of the Sudbury community and grateful to the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and the parade committee for all the work they put into creating such a fantastic event. #01776

Did you know that the Sudbury Art Association has an outreach program? Some of the work we do includes bringing art projects to after-school programs as well as creating art kits (Art for All) for underserved populations!

Our Art for All Kits are out in the world! A big thank you goes to member/ Art for All chair Elizabeth Young, who did the yeoman’s work of this project.

Thanks to the many individuals who donated and a grant from the we were able to create 215 excellent kits at our April meeting. (The Sudbury Cultural Council, a local agency, is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.)

Fabric drawstring bags were filled to overflowing with a wide variety of art supplies for all ages.

The kits will be distributed by 9 local organizations: 7 located in Sudbury, 1 in Maynard, and 1 in Weston. With their help, the art supply kits will be given to underserved populations.

The joy and healing of being creative should be accessible to all, especially during hard times.

The Sudbury Art Association is proud of this initiative and we thank you for your support.
