Grief is a deeply personal journey, and no two people experience it in quite the same way.

On National Grief Awareness Day, we recognize those who are grieving and remind them that there is no timetable for loss. Grief may change with time, but the love and memories we carry in our hearts remain forever.

Today, we encourage compassion for ourselves and for those in our community who may be navigating a loss we cannot see. A listening ear, a shared memory, or simply being present can mean more than we know.

Treasure Coast Hospice Chief Operating Officer Shannon Cooper, RN, MPH, CHPN, will serve as a panelist at the Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association’s 41st Annual Forum.

Shannon will join hospice leaders from across the state for a discussion on HOPE (Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ tool designed to measure quality of care while helping hospices better understand and respond to patients’ changing needs.
