Today was the annual Monroe County Inter-agency Council breakfast meeting. Thank you to this year's leadership team for your time and talent and putting together this event. The Honorable Judge Jon Mark was the guest speaker, and he shared amazing stories about growing up in this county and his life's journey through community service. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration, especially in this field where we are all working to help those who need it most. This is a room of hard-working, passionate, loving people who wish to serve. The Community Foundation is here to lift you up where we can. #

This year, the Dave Fleetwood Scholarship was awarded to two outstanding students who are also kind young men: Logan Krock and Michael Tuin. Logan is attending the University of Pittsburgh to study biological sciences and plans to pursue licensure as a Physician Assistant. Michael Tuin plans to attend Shippensburg University to study computer engineering. Logan was involved in band and tennis and volunteered at a food pantry. Michael played tennis and skied, earned his Eagle Scout badge, and volunteered at the food pantry. I sent videos of them bantering and thanking Mrs. Fleetwood for the award, and she was thrilled! Congratulations and good luck boys!

Yesterday was another successful Pocono Pride Festival in downtown Stroudsburg with the largest crowd ever. It was perfect weather, entertaining music, and thousands of people out on the streets wearing their most colorful clothes and just being themselves! The Community Foundation is proud to be the fiscal sponsor for the Pocono Pride Coalition fund, providing an opportunity for this community to gather and celebrate!

Yesterday was a great day for the Levee Loop run in East Stroudsburg. A record number of over 160 participants came out, making it a good fundraising event for our parks and trails. Thank you for the hard work by the SRO team and passionate director. We are so pleased to have the endowment fund for the stroud region parks. Get out and play!.

🎥 Amish Country Q***r - an award-winning documentary about q***r identity and visibility in small-town America.
🎥 All The World's A Stage - a documentary following a local theatre company auditioning for the iconic musical Hair, and the ways it echoes our world today.

The Monroe Launch of NEPA Gives had great energy, new faces and excitement about raising money for our causes. Thank you to Broady Photography for capturing most of these great pictures and FUSIA Community ARTS for hosting our event.
