We are so proud to partner with the William J. and Dorothy K. O'Neill Foundation in their work in rural communities. Thank you for supporting and highlighting the work that we do together!
The William J. and Dorothy K. O’Neill Foundation is proud to spotlight the incredible work of our Rural Communities Team grantees partners: Adirondack Community Foundation, Vibrant Hawaii, and Stratton Foundation in our latest blog post, "Rural Hubs: Connector between Funders and Resilient Rural Communities."
Each of these organizations embodies what it means to be a rural hub, serving as the connector that links residents, local leaders, nonprofits, and funders to solve problems and strengthen community resilience.
In the Adirondacks, the Adirondack Community Foundation acts as both a funder and community convener, weaving partnerships across sectors and advancing a Strong Community Framework for the region.
On Hawaiʻi Island, Vibrant Hawaiʻi is empowering local leaders through its network of Resilience Hubs, where neighbors come together to share resources, foster well-being, and shape islandwide solutions rooted in culture and connection.
In Southern Vermont, the Stratton Community Foundation bridges donors, volunteers, and families to ensure children are healthy, safe, and ready to learn and addressing rural poverty through deep, local partnerships.
These rural hubs don’t just deliver services— they build trust, elevate local voices, and turn collective vision into action. Their work demonstrates how flexible, community-driven philanthropy can create lasting impact across rural America.
