🎉 Welcome to Hungry Tailz Rescue, Alice! 🐾❤️

Today we picked up Alice from the shelter, where she was unfortunately placed on the euthanasia list. Because a foster stepped up and opened their home, Alice was given the second chance she deserves.

This is exactly why fostering is so important.

As a foster-based rescue, we cannot save animals unless we have foster homes available. Every time someone says "yes" to fostering, it creates space to save another life. Dogs like Alice are counting on people willing to give them a safe place to land while they wait for their forever family.

We truly cannot thank our fosters enough. Time and time again, they come through for animals in need and make stories like Alice's possible. ❤️

Have you ever considered fostering? We provide support, supplies, and veterinary care, you provide the love and temporary home. If you're interested in becoming a foster, send us a message and we'll help get you started with our process.

If you'd like to help support Alice and other dogs like her, please visit: Hungrytailzrescue.com

Thank you for helping us continue to save lives, one animal at a time. Welcome to safety, Alice. Your new journey starts today. 🐶

These newborn kittens were found abandoned in a box under a tree in Stockton. They were cold and alone. Sadly, one of the kittens passed away shortly after being found. They were severely chilled, and sometimes when newborns get too cold, their tiny bodies simply can’t recover despite our best efforts.

The four remaining babies are now safe, warm, and being bottle fed around the clock. Caring for newborn kittens means feeding every few hours, day and night, helping them go potty, monitoring their weight, and sacrificing a lot of sleep. It’s exhausting, but these innocent little lives are worth every sleepless night.

One of the surviving kittens is also dealing with an umbilical hernia, likely caused by trauma to the umbilical cord area when the placenta was pulled. Thankfully, she is bright, eating well, and being closely monitored as she grows.

This is the heartbreaking reality of animal overpopulation and abandonment. Newborn kittens cannot survive on their own. They depend entirely on their mother for warmth, nutrition, and protection. When they’re left behind, even a few hours can become a matter of life or death.

For now, these four little fighters are hanging on, and we’re doing everything we can to give them a chance at life.

If you’d like to help, we are in need of supplies for their care. Items from our Amazon Wishlist help us provide formula, bottles, heating supplies, blankets, and other essentials these babies need to survive.

Welcome to Hungry Tailz, little ones. We’re rooting for you. 🐾❤️

These girls deserve more than growing old in foster care. 🤍

Ariel and Wifey are still waiting for families to give them the comfort, love, and soft place to land they deserve for their golden years. Senior dogs have so much love to give, they just need someone willing to give them a chance.

Please share their faces. 🐾

Today is National Rescue Dog Day 🐾💖

So, we want to shine a light on the adult dogs in our rescue that are still waiting for their chance.

Adult dogs need love too. 💖
Some of these faces have been with us for a while now, patiently waiting.

Every dog here has a story. Some were abandoned, neglected, dumped, or survived life on the streets. Despite everything they’ve been through, they still wake up every day wanting love.

We are doing everything we can to give them the happy ending they deserve, but we need help getting them seen.

Please share this post, tag someone looking for a dog, and help us find these amazing dogs homes. 🐾

Update on Kobe 💙

Kobe is doing great and slowly starting to decompress. He officially got the cone of shame so he stops licking his front legs while they continue healing. He’s been super mellow, gentle, and honestly just wants a cozy bed and peace while his body recovers.

He has definitely figured out the best part of recovery… wet food and stinky sardines 😂 That’s currently the only way he’ll take his medications hidden in his snacks. This boy is a huge fan of anything smelly.

Kobe loves going outside for quick potty breaks, but the second he’s done he wants right back inside to curl up in his bed. He seems to finally understand he’s safe.

We estimate Kobe is around 4–5 years old. One thing we’ve noticed is that he makes himself very small when people get close to him, almost like he’s trying not to take up space. It breaks our hearts wondering what he may have experienced before rescue. We may never know what happened to him out on the streets.

We already love this boy so much and cannot wait to watch him fully heal, gain confidence, and finally learn what happiness and safety truly feel like. 🐾

Also, thank you so much to everyone who has donated. Your support truly makes it possible for dogs like Kobe to get a second chance. We appreciate every single donation, share, comment, and kind message more than you know. ❤️
