We’re excited to welcome Jacqui Ghaemi of Arvest Bank to Leadership Stillwater Class 35! 💙

Through her work at Arvest Bank and her connection to the Stillwater community, Jacqui brings a valuable perspective and a passion for the people and organizations that make our community special. We’re excited to see the ideas, insight, and enthusiasm she’ll share throughout the year!

Over the next year, Class 35 will explore different areas of our community, build meaningful connections, and learn more about the people, organizations, and opportunities helping shape Stillwater’s future.

Meet Tisha.

She came to Turning Point for professional development. She stayed because of what she saw. As an educator, Tisha believed students with disabilities were capable of far more than people often expected. At the ranch, she watched horses help riders find confidence, independence, courage and joy. And she thought, my students need this too.

So she brought her class. Then one visit became another. One year became nearly a decade. Bus after bus brought students through the gates to ride, care for horses, work through fear and trust themselves.

All because one person gave something incredibly valuable:
Time.

Turning Point runs on people who give. Sometimes that means money. Sometimes it means a few hours, a willing pair of hands and a heart to serve.

W was all smiles. His mom was holding back tears.

Every mother knows the feeling of watching your child try something new, find courage, and then realize they belong.

Another rider welcomed W, showed him the ropes, and made sure he felt at home. They remembered what it felt like to be new, too. This wasn’t part of the lesson, but it is the heartbeat of Turning Point, kindness woven into every person who steps on the property.

And as if a new rider falling in love with Turning Point wasn’t enough, a butterfly spent the entire lesson tucked into Stanley’s mane.

Some nights feel a little bit like magic.

When our friends and fellow cowboys at Iron Monk Brewing Company came out to Turning Point, Oakley was more than happy to help with quality control.

One stamp of approval later, “B**r for My Horses” was born.

We’re incredibly grateful to Iron Monk and Aspen Tree Construction for collaborating with us, supporting our mission, and helping us make The Barn Party even more fun.

And yes, you can try it!

This is a great book about one of our former riders, written by his dad. ❤️

A Stillwater father is sharing how raising his son with nonverbal autism transformed his understanding of parenthood and faith.

Brandon Boyd has documented the family’s journey in a book titled “Delighting in Ben,” with proceeds supporting his son’s ongoing care.
