What an incredible night celebrating public education and the exciting future of Stillwater! Celebrate New Frontiers was an A+!

A week before school started, corporate partners, donors, community leaders and friends of SPEF gathered inside the brand-new Stillwater High School for SPEF’s annual Celebration of Education fundraiser. It was the perfect setting to celebrate where we’ve been, where we are, and all the possibilities ahead for Stillwater Public Schools.

One of the highlights of the evening was honoring our amazing teacher grant recipients! These educators brought their creativity and passion to life as they showcased the innovative resources and classroom experiences made possible through SPEF-funded grants. Seeing the impact of these grants firsthand was a wonderful reminder of how investing in teachers directly benefits our students

We’re loving all of the first day of school pictures!!! So excited for a great year for all of the Pioneers, from PreK to Seniors!
We wanted to tip our hats to the new high school facility as she celebrates her VERY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL EVER! Excited for the new beginning and the many generations that will learn and grow in the new building.
A few years ago we hosted Adam Rex as our Adopt-An-Author visitor and he wrote a great book about school’s first day of school. It’s a great story of a building having first day jitters and hoping it can serve the students in the best way possible. We have no doubt the building will be great, but more than the walls and the space, we know the teachers, staff and administration across all facilities are serving our students to the best of their abilities. THANK YOU! Here’s to a great year 🎉

Last Thursday night was everything SPEF could have hoped for—and more!
We loved celebrating such a monumental moment for Stillwater Public Schools alongside our incredible Corporate Partners, donors, educators and community supporters.
This video captures a little bit of the magic of the evening—from honoring the history of the old high school, to celebrating a new beginning at 410 W. Franklin, to highlighting the work SPEF does every day to come alongside the district and invest in our teachers and students.
We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this night—and this new chapter for Stillwater Public Schools—so special.

Anybody having big feelings about school starting in just 10 days?!?!? Big feelings can be overwhelming—especially for our youngest learners. Thanks to a SPEF Teacher Grant, the Early Childhood Program (for 3-4 year-olds) now has new resources through the "My Big Emotions" project to help students identify their emotions, recognize the feelings of others, and learn healthy ways to regulate those emotions.

By teaching these skills early, we're helping students build a toolbox they'll use for years to come. Understanding emotions and learning how to manage them lays the foundation for positive relationships, successful learning, and lifelong social-emotional growth. These resources will continue benefiting future Early Childhood students for years to come.

Teachers Sarah Baldwin and Andrea DaPron shared:

"We are so appreciative of your support of the EC program and grateful that SPEF saw the value in our proposal. It means so much to us that there is an organization like yours that we can turn to to help enhance our classrooms and give to our students."

THANK YOU, Walmart Neighborhood Market 🥳 SPEF was thrilled to be a part of your grand re-opening celebration this morning! Hats off to a fantastic new store and many thanks for supporting Stillwater’s Robotics Team! SPS Robotics Coach, Leah Dollar, and SPEF Executive Director, Emily Lewis, were thrilled to accept a 🌟 Spark Good 🌟 grant from our friends at Walmart. These funds will help cover competition fees and purchase new VEX GO materials for the Robotics team.
Since 2024, all three local Walmart stores have provided thousands in funding for academic endeavors at Stillwater Public Schools. From Instructional Coach support, to robotics, to shop club, grants are providing key resources for our students and teachers. Thank you!
