📚 Calling all Oklahoma 4-H teen leaders! 🔬

Ready to share your love of STEM while making a difference in your community? 4-H’ers in grades 7-12 are invited to join us for our STEM Storytime training session on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6-8 p.m. in Stillwater. STEM Storytime is a new program where 4-H teens read STEM-themed stories and lead hands-on learning activities for local youth.

Participants will receive training on two STEM-focused books, get supplies and materials to teach activities for up to 30 children and build leadership, communication and teaching skills. The cost is $10, which includes program materials and snacks. Register by Oct. 25 to receive a STEM Storytime T-shirt.

🐕 Ready to unleash some fun?

Whether your dog loves running, sniffing, performing tricks or learning new skills, there’s something for everyone at Oklahoma 4-H Dog Adventure Day on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Totusek Arena in Stillwater. Participants can choose from activities such as agility, Fast CAT, rally, scent work, barn hunt, Canine Good Citizen and more. 🐾

The cost is $15, which includes three activities. Additional activities can be added for $5 each. Vaccination forms are due by Oct. 30 at 5 p.m. 📋

As part of , we’re thanking the volunteers who make Oklahoma 4-H stronger every day. From leading clubs to supporting events and programs, volunteers help 4-H’ers gain the skills, confidence and experiences they need to be . We’re reminded of that impact when looking back on this summer’s Oklahoma Conference on Volunteerism, where volunteers from across the state were recognized for their service to Oklahoma 4-H. 🍀

👀 Look at that green glow! 💚

SkyDance Bridge lit up in 4-H green for Go Green Day during on Monday. For one night, Oklahoma City’s skyline joined the celebration, shining bright for the young people who are learning, leading and making their mark in communities across our state. 🍀

🍀 This , we’re celebrating the experiences that help young people become for the future.

Long before leading OSU Agriculture, Dr. Jayson Lusk was a 4-H’er showing livestock, competing in cooking contests, and developing leadership and public speaking skills. His experiences in 4-H sparked a lifelong interest in food and agriculture, helping set him on a path to become an agricultural economist and eventually vice president and dean of OSU Agriculture.

Today, he leads the Ferguson College of Agriculture, OSU Extension and OSU Ag Research, helping prepare the next generation of agricultural leaders. 🌟

🎡 Fair season continues at the Tulsa State Fair!

Thousands of hours of learning, creating and growing are reflected in the projects submitted by Oklahoma 4-H’ers from across the state. Whether it’s agriculture, science, technology or art, each exhibit represents a young person putting their skills into action.

Thank you to the educators, volunteers and judges who help make these opportunities possible. If you’re headed to the fair, stop by and celebrate the achievements of Oklahoma 4-H youth and this year’s ribbon winners. 🏅🍀

🚨 Oklahoma 4-H Health and Wellness Discovery Day 🚨

Accept your Mission Possible and join us on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the OSU Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa! Youth in sixth grade and up and certified adults will explore health and wellness opportunities through hands-on activities, including CPR practice, anatomy, wellness kit building, nutrition and gardening, medical equipment demonstrations and health career pathways.

Cost: $20 (includes refreshments, lunch, T-shirt and workshop materials)
