We are excited for Brady Peacock, one of our Teacher Fellows, to spend his summer in the Mississippi Delta as an intern! We asked Brady what made him want to intern with Reclaimed, and here is what he shared:

“I wanted to intern here this summer because it is another way I can invest in the community here in Marks through the summer camp and other outreach opportunities that will come up.”

Brady asked for the following prayer for his summer: Please pray for strength and perseverance in faith this summer.

Pinelake Oxford served with us in Lesotho this past week! We are so grateful for the ministry they did and for how they loved the Basotho. They helped us deliver food packages to vulnerable families and shared the Gospel in several different villages. We are so thankful for the new believers who chose to follow Jesus in those villages!

The team shared testimonies during our high school morning assemblies and led a teaching time for our high school on Scripture memory over the weekend. They also spent time at our care centers playing with our younger kids and leading crafts and games! They served with all their hearts and truly blessed our ministry this week.

We had a great time at the Discipleship Program in Marks this week! The youth painted canvases, and it was a great way for them to express themselves. For some, they captured what they learned this year through art! Thank you to all of our generous donors and volunteers who help make nights like these possible. We couldn’t do this without you!

We know that God is the one who stirs in the hearts of those we serve through the Holy Spirit. As we partner with the church, join us in praying that the most vulnerable would respond to the Holy Spirit’s call.

“...It is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put His seal on us and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” (2 Corinthians 1:21–22).

We are so thankful for the care center mothers who are the hands and feet of Jesus to our kids in their times of need. In this video they are delivering food to the home of a family who just lost their father, in preparation for his funeral. These are not easy visits, but they matter and make a difference! A group of students from Belhaven University came to serve with us in the Delta recently!

The students were on what Belhaven calls an Immersion Excursion, an opportunity for students who are not from the state to learn more about Missisissippi. While at The Village, they learned about our ministry and jumped in to help us with painting our back deck and added a chalk board wall in The Village Next Door. We also began discussion on what a partnership with Belhaven and our Teacher Fellowship could look like in the future. Thank you to each of you who came to serve alongside us!

Join us in praying that God’s love would be deeply felt by those we work with in the Mississippi Delta and in Lesotho through our volunteers and staff, and also through the Holy Spirit. God has commanded us to love one another, and we pray those around us feel that love!

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34–35).
