We had a great turn out at the National Clean Up Day Starkville Event on Saturday! Thanks to all who showed up! We collected 12 bags of trash within 1 hour in the Midtown and Cotton District areas! Stay on the look out for future events to help make Starkville Beautiful!

What actually happens after your trash gets picked up from your driveway and what effect does that have on the environment?

"For now, though, we have landfills, and separate bins for what goes there versus what goes to recycling facilities. The more people can help keep those streams separated, the better these projects to turn trash into something useful will function, and the lower the risks will be. Modern technology and a focus on climate solutions have created an opportunity for waste to be less wasteful."
