They are violating the code of conduct for their own prison in multiple ways and are negligent towrds the inmates rights and amendments

On September 9th at around 10:30 am inmate Andrew Obregon attempted to take his life, cutting down his wrists on both sides and his chest. Begging for help with mental illness and severe back/neck pain that requires surgery he keeps getting denied for. Again later that night he cut down his wrist again in a different spot hoping one of these times they would help him and see the suffering/ pain he’s enduring, he was pepper sprayed and put in segregation for about 20 days. Receiving tickets and yet still no help. He received tickets for disobeying orders, unauthorized transfer of property, threats, disruptive conduct, and disrespect. He needs help that nobody at Stanley correction will allow him to get. Listed below are the conduct reports from that day as well as the tickets and also a letter he wrote his mother about how his pain and suffering. If anyone knows how to help him or get him out of this situation please reach out…

Again on Monday September 9th, at around 11am inmate Andrew Obregon threatened to hurt himself again telling the staff what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. They did nothing about it again. So this time in the cellblock Andrew Obregon cut down his left and right wrist and the middle of his chest. They stitched him up and put him in seg. They sent him in a segregation cell where officers searched before hand to make sure there was nothing he could hurt himself again with and about 6 officers went in there with cameras as well to search the cell and cleared it of weapons. Upon being placed in the cell Andrew noticed there was a sharp piece of metal sitting in the corner of the cell almost like it was purposely placed there for him. He then again told the social worker and officers he would harm himself again the same day if nothing was done. They still didn’t care so at around 6pm on September 9th he cut down his left wrist again just next to his previous cut from that morning drawing a cross of the wall in his blood. The guards came in after he was already done self harming and maced him with pepper spray filling his cuts full of it and pushed him to the ground. They sent him to medical to get stitched up then sent him back to seg writing him tickets for what he had done. The pictures listed below are a letter he wrote a family member in these desperate times of hurt and pain, and the the sign he made with blood from his first su***de attempt.

This is the conduct report the prison made not long after inmate Andrew Obregon’s attempt to change the poor medical treatment that Stanley Correctional gives their inmates. Instead of helping they are just hurting him more and putting him in more pain.

Inmates at Stanley correctional institution are being treated inhumanly every day because of a problem that isnt theirs. They have spent many days on lock down not being able to leave their rooms. Not getting proper medical or mental health treatment. After a recent su***de attempt they prision was given brochures for mental health and su***de that they refused to hand out. This has been an ongoing problem and if nothing is done to stop it more people are going to try to harm themselves because they feel it’s better than living with the way they get treated.

Stanley correctional institution of Wisconsin is violating inmates rights and amendments. This has been an ongoing problem for years and it’s not fair that their inmates are getting neglected and sitting in pain while the officers ignore them and their requests. Not only are the workers/officers/staff members/ warden/ and counselors negligent they also assault their inmates, deny them of medical treatment, and mental health treatment and then punish them when it gets so bad someone feels like they need to make a statement. One of the inmates there has been suffering for months due to back pain on top of also struggling with mental health issues, they did nothing and made him continue to work. While working HVAC he fell out of a ceiling at Stanley and hurt his back yet again still receiving no medical treatment. They told him he would get back injections and that’s all they would do. After months of sitting in pain never getting those injections he decided it’s been enough and he needed to make a statement so the inmate slit his wrist and wrote “HELP ME” with his own blood. Even after doing so they didn’t give the inmate any help, they said he was crazy and was a risk to everyone there and sent him to pych where he was later sent to the hole and given tickets… still with no help. He told all the caretakers, officers and counselors what he was going to do and not one time did anyone do anything to try to help him infact they did nothing at all. This needs to stop and it needs to change.
