At a meeting earlier this month, we proudly recognized Lion Steve for an incredible 40 years of dedicated service to our club and community! 🦁🎉

Throughout the years, Steve has generously volunteered countless hours helping in the concession stand, organizing our golf tournaments, supporting community events, and always stepping up wherever help was needed. In years past, he also served our club as President, helping lead and strengthen our organization through his dedication and leadership.

Thank you, Lion Steve, for four decades of service, fellowship, and commitment to making a difference in our community. We are grateful for all you do and proud to celebrate this amazing milestone with you! 💜💛🦁

Hello everyone!
Time is running out to purchase LOVF raffle tickets. This is an annual raffle that we participate in and rely on to help provide funding so that we can give back to our local community. The top prize is $10,000 cash!!!

So far this year, our club and members have:
- Awarded five $2,000 scholarships to local students
- Donated $7,600 ($3,800 of which was a matching grant from
(LOVF) to the Greene County affiliate of the Dolly Parton
Imagination Library
- Assisted with hearing and eyeglass purchases
- Donated $2,400 toward a walking path in Stanardsville
- Sponsored bi-monthly blood drives
- Distributed food to 23 families at Christmas
- Sponsored spring and fall GCPR soccer

Your support of our fundraisers has made this possible!

Tickets are $1.00 each.
Our club keeps 2/3 of the money raised.

Last night, Lion President David proudly presented five $2,000 scholarships on behalf of the Greene County Lions Club. 🦁

This year, our scholarship committee had the difficult task of reviewing 19 outstanding applications from a talented and hardworking group of students. With so many deserving applicants, narrowing down the recipients was no easy decision. We are incredibly proud of all the students who applied and the bright futures ahead of them.

Congratulations to Bailey Brown, Adyn Douglas, Kayden Hall, Sophie Mellott, and Caylin Williams on this well-deserved achievement! 🎉

Thank you to Lion President David for representing our club at the awards ceremony, and thank you to William Monroe High School for allowing us to be part of such a special evening. 🐲

🌎 In honor of Earth Day and Lions Club International Environment Service Week, our dedicated Lions rolled up their sleeves to help keep our community beautiful!

Members gathered along a portion of Route 230 to clean up litter, collecting 4 full bags of glass and aluminum beverage containers, cigarette waste, food packaging, and more.

Every piece picked up makes a difference—and we’re proud to do our part to protect and preserve the environment we all share. 💚
