Hi-Horse Cloggers

Hi-Horse Cloggers The Hi-Horse Cloggers are a non-profit dance group located in Stanardsville, Virginia. Numerous performance routines are choreographed by members of the Club.

The Hi-Horse Cloggers of Stanardsville, Virginia, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1985. The Club is under the direction of Crystal Morris; Kylie Cempre', Karen Dunivan, and Jean Rice are Associate Directors. The Hi-Horse Cloggers Club has steadily grown from 6 members to approximately 30, ranging in ages from 5 to 73; they practice each Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 PM–8:30 PM at the Gre

ene County Primary School Cafeteria. The Hi-Horse Cloggers perform throughout the state of Virginia at both private and public functions. Many of the members have participated in competitions and have won several trophies. One of the routines, Fire in the Rain, was choreographed by Gertrude Cox and published by Steppin’ Times, a worldwide publication; other routines, Rhythm of Love and Party Rock Anthem, were choreographed by Colleen Ward and posted on Clogdancing.com in April 2012. The traditional style of clogging is promoted by the Hi-Horse Cloggers through their performances and teaching. Although this style of clogging is slowly giving way to a more modern dance method, some of which is included in our performances, we are striving to keep the traditional style alive as it is part of our American heritage.
