Older Missourians, others with fixed incomes and working families struggling to get ahead will bare the brunt of the Tax Shift (HJR 173) that the Missouri Senate forced through in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

An income tax elimination proposal would allow the General Assembly to raise or expand sales taxes, which seniors say would increase their tax burden.
