Reception: Saturday, August 22, 1–3pm, in the Kings Park Library Meeting Room (9000–9002 Burke Lake Rd, Burke, VA 22015). Free and open to the public, with light refreshments.
The Braddock District Supervisor’s Office and ArtsFairfax are pleased to present Naturally, a solo exhibition of botanical and natural illustration by Northern Virginia artist Ariane D’Souza. The show is on view now through August 28, 2026, and is open to the public free of charge.
Naturally features nine original works rendered in graphite and watercolor— each one a close, unhurried look at the plants, insects, and animals that share our region. The works are rendered in a representational, naturalistic style rooted in the traditions of botanical illustration —careful, detailed, and quietly alive.
About the Artist
Ariane D’Souza is an artist specializing in botanical and natural illustration. Her work has been shown throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area. She is a member of the Botanical Artists Society of the National Capital Region (BASNCR), the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA), Del Ray Artisans, The Art League (Alexandria), and other regional arts organizations.
