Then and now: A year ago, the space between Bath Street and the north parking lot was bare after the diseased oaks were removed. A year later, a wildflower meadow is flourishing, despite the hot, dry spring/summer we've had. Take some time this weekend to walk around and notice how much things have changed!

Join us this Saturday! After we assemble 120 backpack with hygiene kits and other needful items for our unhoused neighbors in DC, we will have coffee and snacks and socialize. Then a group will drive to DC to distribute the backpacks. If you choose to go with us, we'll return about 1:00 pm.

If you'd like to donate items now or in future months, here are some suggestions:

- Clothing (New or gently used)
- Men and Women socks
- Men and Women underwear
- Men and Women shirts
- Men and Women pants
- Anything to keep warm and dry!!!!
Other Items:
-Backpacks (new or gently used)
-Roll of duct tape

Just leave them on the stage in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you!

Students at all levels (preschool to college!) are welcome to bring a backpack to church this Sunday, Aug 23 @ 10:30am, as we do our annual blessing of the backpacks and present a small gift.
