Senior Solutions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the well-being and dignity of older adults in the southeastern region of Vermont.

We are a member of the Vermont Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Senior Solutions, established in 1973, is the Area Agency on Aging designated to serve older adults in the southeastern region of Vermont. Our agency provides a wide variety of services to older adults within our 46-town service area, giving priority to those with the greatest social and economic needs. This is attained through a comprehensive and coordinated system of information and referral, home-based assistance, case management, nutrition services and many community partners.

Today we start the October Foxy Fund photo contest! This month's theme is "Cutest Costumed Companion". Post in the comments a photo of your pet in their favorite costume. The comment with the most likes by October 15 will receive a gift card. Remember, pet owner must live in one of our communities and be over 60.

Help out friends at SEVCA

We are super excited to join Wheels for Warmth this year!

Mark your calendars for October 29th and 30th, we will be collecting tires at 91 Buck Drive from 1 - 5 pm. Bring your old tires and recycle them for $5 each or bring usable ones and have them be sold to Vermonters.

The tire sale is on the 31st at Granite Museum in Barre and Casella Construction in Pittsford.

Sales of tires goes to support emergency heating funds at SEVCA and all five community action agencies.

🌟 Know someone who makes your community a better place? 🌟

We’re looking for the people who show up, again and again, for their neighbors. Senior Solutions is now accepting nominations for our 2026 Successful Aging Awards, celebrating older adults whose volunteerism, service, and kindness make our communities stronger and more connected.

Maybe it’s the neighbor who checks on everyone after a snowstorm. The volunteer who’s been serving meals for 20 years. The friend who organizes the potluck, mentors young people, or quietly keeps things running behind the scenes.

They don’t need a title or a trophy shelf. We especially want to hear about the people whose everyday contributions often go unnoticed.

✅ Nominees must be 70 or older
✅ Live in Windham or Windsor County, or a town served by Senior Solutions
✅ Be actively engaged in their community through service, community building, leadership, or simply dedication to others

Meet with more than 13 community organizations and vendors to learn about: Housing options, In-home support services, Caregiver resources and community-based programs for older adults.

Join the Dartmouth Health Aging Resource Center on Thursday, October 22, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Claremont Senior Center (5 Acer Heights Road, Claremont, NH) for an in-person community vendor fair.
