We're honored. We're humbled. We're...$20,000 richer! Thanks to Springfield's Earth Day Music Fest, OLT received a (literal) large check to keep trails walkable, prairies thriving, and caves, well, cavey? Every ticket purchased, every volunteer hour, every sponsor, and every attendee aided us in keeping habitat flourishing and protected. We wanted to extend our greatest thanks, so we reached out to a couple of friends for comment.

This week, our Executive Director, Diana Sheridan, had the opportunity to host the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Missouri Department of Conservation at Ozark Land Trust’s Moore Cave property in Perry County, Missouri. This trip not only offered these leaders the opportunity to see the grotto sculpin up close, but showcased the incredible impact of public and private conservation partnerships.

Moments like these remind us as OLT staff, that every email, every conversation with a landowner, and every administrative task, plays an important role in protecting the places we all cherish. Together, each small step brings us closer to permanently conserving some of our region’s most precious natural resources for generations to come. 💚🌿

Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Meeting in Springdale, Arkansas. It was a great time to meet up with our Arkansas partners, board members, landowners, and friends. We also want to extend our gratitude to Ozark Highland Nature Center for hosting us at their beautiful facility. See everyone next year!

Not all heroes wear capes- some of them sign conservation easements. In an era of environmental bad news, here's a reminder that people are still fighting to protect their land and we're here to help them achieve that.

As of June 2026, OLT is proud to permanently protect an additional 600+ acres in the Ozarks through thoughtful donors. That brings our total to a little over 33,000 acres. We couldn't do it without you!

Not to be dramatic- but this work really does matter. So much of the land we care about is privately owned, which means conservation only happens when people choose it. We can’t wait to see you all there!

To start this week, we gave out t-shirts to our amazing Earth Day Music Festival volunteers! (This is only a few!) Did you know this WHOLE event is organized and led by volunteers! 💚 A full team of volunteers + support from companies like Vital Farms make it possible for us to give the most back!!

We love our "green" tees for our 5th year!! You'll see even more volunteers wearing them all day on Saturday, April 25, from noon to 8 p.m. Plus, we'll have a few for sale at our merch booth.
