We had a wonderful afternoon for the first Gig of the Fall '26 season with a set by the Hey Pam! band.

Our friends from Grupo musical Canela got to attend as well before heading back to Mexico today; they caught up with Gigs sponsor and longtime SSCA supporter Tom Finnie.

Join us at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, for singer/songwriter Jed Clark at the Peace Through People Pavilion Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park.

Fresh from representing as SSCA's traveling musicians with our citizen delegation to Japan, Grupo musical Canela is back in Springfield before returning home to Mexico. 🇲🇽 🇯🇵 🇺🇸

The band returned at the invitation of Grupo Latinoamericano to perform at a sold-out event Saturday.

But they'll also play twice in Springfield this weekend:

📍Today, Friday, Oct. 2: 5:30 p.m., Showmechuy , 1410 E. Republic Road.
📍Saturday, Oct. 3: 9 a.m.-noon, Farmers Market of the Ozarks, 2144 E. Republic Road.

Grupo Canela joined our delegation to unite Springfield and our sister cities in Isesaki, Japan and Tlaquepaque, Mexico, for SSCA's 40th anniversary. 🙌
