Impact Education, Empower Strategic Innovations & Build Partnerships with our Spring Lake Park School District Community The idea was wholeheartedly supported.

In 2004, 60 community members, identified for their loyalty, passion, and support of the school district community, met to discuss the need for the Foundation. Volunteers from the community were appointed to a board of directors. The Foundation is a non-profit organization completely separate from School District 16. We work with the district as a supportive partner. With the combined commitments

of the School District, the Panther Foundation and the members of the community, we can ensure our students receive the best educational opportunities. Our goal is to fund educational innovations that students need to be successful - the pieces that can mean the difference between an average education and an outstanding one! Our main sources of funding are from annual membership dues, the fall Family Carnival & 5K, February's Gala, and a summer Golf Fundraiser. In the first four years alone, over 100 grants were presented on behalf of student and $30,000 was raised and used for "Fund-a-Dream" projects in the district. Since then, the Foundation has awarded more than $815,000 to Spring Lake Park Schools to fund more than 200 projects and initiatives. School District 16 does a great job of providing the educational basics for students. Panther Foundation members think our students deserve even more. We think it's worth an investment to maintain high quality school experiences for the benefit of our children, parents and taxpayers.

The check is BIG; the impact is even BIGGER!

Panther Foundation board members were to deliver this BIG CHECK to the June School Board meeting. This symbolic check for more than $133,000 (!!) represents the total amount granted across 23 projects in the Spring Lake Park Schools community this school year. (And we have one more board meeting next week, so we'll probably be able to add to this year's total...yippee!)

Panther Foundation grants touched every corner of the district this year, thanks to your generous support. A few highlights included:

- $25,000 towards replacing the Grand Piano in the Fine Arts Center (and special thanks to the Spring Lake Park Lions Club #00584 for their contribution to this project too!)
- Milestone Moments t-shirts for students in K, 5th & 9th grade to welcome them to their new schools.
- Go Panthers! We proudly funded "fan buses" for State Championship games for Football and Girls Hockey.
- Senior Signs for the 7th year, boosting awareness and community pride. This year SLP celebrated its largest graduating class to date, with 500+ students in the Class of 2026.

🎉Shout out to the fantastic Tower Days parade volunteers!

This is the 11th year the Panther Foundation has been to help jump start summer reading in our Spring Lake Park Schools community by handing out free books to eager young readers all along the parade route.

SCHOLARSHIP MATH, Panther Foundation style!🍎✖️🏫➗

5 years of scholarships x 4 students per year = 20 graduating SLP seniors have received a total of $12,500 in scholarship awards from the Panther Foundation since 2022.

We're to be part last night's Scholarship & Awards Ceremony, and even more Panther Proud to be part of a community that supports Spring Lake Park Schools students every step of the way.

⛳️It's a look back at the good times on the greens at our 2025 golf fundraiser! Registration is now open so join the fun again this year on Monday, June 29 at Victory Links Golf Course in Blaine.

We're that 100% of proceeds from this event support Spring Lake Park Schools athletics and activities. DYK? More than 85% of SLP students participate in at least one athletic or co-curricular activity outside of the school day. That means that money raised by this event impacts LOTS of Panthers!

At our April board meeting, the Panther Foundation awarded more than $42k in grants across the Spring Lake Park Schools community.

We're -ly supporting Destination Imagination, DECA and HOSA students competing in international competitions; funding summer programs and enrichments for students in need of extra supports; honoring American Indian Education Powwow dancers; purchasing playground stencils to add fun outdoor recess options district-wide; and even helping secure a new grand piano for the Fine Arts Center. Whew, that's a lot of Panther Pride for just one board meeting!

We're so grateful for our Panther community; after all, it's your support that turns these hopes and dreams into real-life experiences.
