THE STORY BEHIND Pastor Yarkpasuah Memorial Foundation โค๏ธ
For those who are new to my page, and for those who have been wondering about Pastor Yarkpasuah Memorial Foundation, I wanted to take a moment to share the heart behind this foundation and why it means so much to me.
I founded Pastor Yarkpasuah Memorial Foundation in honor of my late father, Pastor James Yarkpasuah, who passed away on November 2, 2020.
My father was a pastor, but he was also a humanitarian. He loved God, served Him faithfully, and had a genuine heart for people.
He wasn't a rich man.
But he was a giver.
He would give from what he had. He helped people in need, supported families, and touched many lives during his time on earth. His generosity wasn't about having plenty; it was about having a heart that was willing to share whatever God placed in his hands.
Growing up and watching my father's life deeply impacted me.
I remember telling him while he was still alive that I wanted to do what he did, and, by God's grace, do even more.
He embraced the vision. He encouraged me and promised that he would support me.
But today, he is no longer here.
Sometimes I still wish he was here to see what has become of the little vision we talked about. I wish I could sit with him and tell him about the people we've been able to help and the lives we've been able to touch.
But I also believe that God has a purpose for everything.
I don't understand every reason why God called my father home when He did, but I trust the God he served. God knows the beginning, the ending, and everything in between.
After his passing, I felt led to continue the legacy he left behind, not simply by carrying his name, but by carrying the heart of service, generosity, compassion, and love for people that he demonstrated.
That is how Pastor Yarkpasuah Memorial Foundation was born.
Our mission is simple:
Honoring Faith.
Transforming Lives.
Uplifting Communities.
Through this foundation, we desire to support people who are genuinely in need, whether through helping someone start a small business, assisting families, supporting the sick and vulnerable, helping children, or responding to needs as God provides the opportunity.
And I want to be honest about something.
We are not a wealthy organization.
I may not currently be in a position to take on huge financial obligations or meet every need that comes our way. There are times when we see many needs and wish we could do more.
But I have learned that you don't have to have everything before you can become a blessing.
My father taught me that.
Sometimes, you simply start with what is in your hands.
And I trust God with the rest.
I believe that if God gave me this vision, He will also make provision for it.
I believe He will connect us with the right people, organizations, donors, and partners at the right time, people who will believe in this vision and help us reach even more lives.
So, if you ever see us helping someone, please understand that behind that act of kindness is a much bigger vision.
We are not trying to do everything at once.
We are simply trying to be faithful with what God has placed in our hands.
My prayer is that one day, this foundation will grow far beyond what my husband and I can do on our own.
I pray that it will become a lasting vessel of hope, compassion, opportunity, and God's love, touching families and communities in ways that we cannot even imagine today.
Dad, you may not be here to see it with your physical eyes, but I hope that I am making you proud.
You planted seeds while you were here.
By God's grace, I will keep watering them๐ฑโค๏ธ
And to everyone who has supported, encouraged, prayed for, donated to, or believed in this vision in any way:
Thank you.
There is still so much to do.
But we are trusting God, one life at a time.
