🐾 Happy National Dog Day from the Centre! 🐾

Today we’re celebrating one of the most loved members of our team... Boomer, our support dog! 💙

Whether he’s offering a little comfort, boosting morale, greeting our guests, or simply reminding everyone that sometimes the best kind of support comes with four paws and a wagging tail, Boomer has a pretty important job around here!

He may not have a fancy title or wear a badge… but we’re pretty sure Chief Morale Officer fits him perfectly. 😉

Happy National Dog Day to our sweet Boomer! We sure are lucky to have him as part of The Centre family. 🐾❤️

Drop a 🐾 in the comments to show Boomer some love or even better, a picture of who your celebrating today!

When experience, research, and innovation come together, the impact can reach far beyond the walls and borders!

We are proud to have partnered with ASR Systems in research involving the TITAN CSR® Retractor. The Titan Retractor was named the top-performing self-retaining surgical retractor in a newly published independent U.S. Department of War study evaluating surgical tools for forward-deployed trauma care.

Conducted at the Centre with the U.S. Air Force 59th Medical Wing and Brooke Army Medical Center, the research compared the TITAN CSR® with several other surgical retractors. Titan Retractor delivered the greatest surgical exposure, received the highest usability ratings from military surgeons, and was identified as the most effective option for combat surgery, damage-control surgery, and austere medical environments.

This is exactly what partnerships at The Centre can look like!

We don't simply provide a space. The Centre has the ability to provide the facility, anatomical specimens, knowledgeable staff, and hands-on expertise needed to support medical research, evaluation, procedural training, and innovation.

From research and product development to medical education, hands-on training, and industry collaboration, The Centre is a place where ideas can be put into practice—and where partnerships can help move medicine forward.

🧤From preparation to procedure — meet the Lab Techs behind The Centre!

They may not always be the faces at the front of the room, but they are an essential part of what happens inside it!

The Centre’s Lab Techs are a remarkable group of highly motivated and well-trained students, many of whom are pursuing futures in medicine and healthcare. Working alongside our experienced faculty and laboratory team, they gain invaluable hands-on exposure while playing an important role in helping our educational programs run smoothly.

From preparing the lab and supporting faculty, to assisting throughout courses and ensuring the countless details behind each hands-on experience are handled, our Lab Techs show up ready to learn, work hard, and contribute.

The Centre provides a unique opportunity to learn in an environment that goes far beyond the classroom giving them an early look into medicine, anatomy, procedural education, teamwork, and the level of excellence expected in healthcare.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, professionalism, and drive they bring to The Centre, and even more excited to see where their futures take them! Who knows? Some of the students assisting in our lab today may very well be the physicians, researchers, and healthcare leaders of tomorrow. 💙

They aren’t just helping us carry our mission Beyond Walls and Borders... they’re part of the next generation who will carry it even further. 🌎
