We evaluate and train all interested dog teams in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. Our teams provide smiles and encouragement, as well as physical and emotional support for many. We visit

hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers, military facilities, schools, and other specialized facilities - where ever our physical and emotional support is needed most. Our working therapy dogs are making a difference one paw print at a time. Paws 4 Hearts Working Therapy Dogs is a fully-fledged 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Today was a busy and rewarding day, as I had the honor of mentoring two of our newer teams at their facilities. First, I mentored team Marlow at Rio Tera, where Marlow, a lovable Corgi, stole the show with her irresistible cuteness. Next, I met with team Cooper at Colonial Manor, now Avir, where they wowed everyone with his big, sweet, and soulful self. Both teams performed admirably, and it was fulfilling to see the smiles and hear staff members say, "This is exactly what our residents needed."

Congratulations to another team on completing their mentorship. Today, Team Barnaby visited the memory care unit at Bella Groves. This small, white dog with a big heart was a huge success with residents and staff. Everyone was impressed by his friendly demeanor and pristine bright white fur. Team Barnaby handled the visit with ease, demonstrating his exceptional unconditional love for everyone!!! Well done, Team Barnaby!

Today, Team Duke showcased remarkable kindness and compassion at The Heights of Bulverde, eliciting numerous smiles and immense joy, especially with his presence. Having recently completed our training program, Team Duke is swiftly making a profound difference in the lives of others. Duke's specialty is exchanging scratches for affection and smiles. Paws Up to team Boo. Recently graduated and already making an impact. Today they put lots of smiles and laughs in several residents hearts at Elan. Can’t wait to see Boo at many other facilities and events spreading and sharing all the joy this happy girl has!!!!

Paws up to team Luna for representing P4H at Legacy Tradition School today. The dog the school had lined up cancelled on Wednesday and when the school reached out to P4H, thankfully team Luna was able to accommodate the school as they had over 100 kids waiting and wanting to learn. Paws Up

Always so honored when the San Antonio Spurs invite us to their Paws for Wellness event. Today we helped relieve stress and help with mental health all through the unconditional love of our therapy dogs. Lots of FURever love and stories shared today. Thanks to team Cooper, Barnaby, Duke, Lina, Boo, and Bear for doing such an PAWsome job!!!!! And thank you San Antonio Spurs Wellness Dept for being such great host and the hundreds of employees that came and loved on our dogs!!!!!!

P4H had the honor to be at 2 different events this weekend. One was the Fischer Park Dog Rodeo and the other was at Gruene United Methodist Church. Thank you to Sylvia, Barbara, Robyn, Jo, Sandy, John and Niki for sharing your dogs and telling others about who we are and about our upcoming class.

Congrats to the first P4H graduating class of 2026. Welcome Team Jet, Cooper, Duke, Boo, Lina, Barnaby, and Marlow!!!!! So proud of all the hard work y’all put in and can’t wait to see all of y’all in action !!!!!

Back in 2015, a woman and her Airedale signed up and walked into our therapy dog class. Didn’t know then that Diana and her wonderful Airedale named Bella would become a wonderful Paws 4 Hearts WTD and change so many lives!! Bella was the calmest and most well mannered Airedale I had ever seen. She was a natural and knew exactly who needed her. Bella earned her AKC therapy dog excellent title for over 200 visits and was one of our mentor dogs for new teams.

A couple of years ago Bella was retired due to health issues and sadly yesterday Diana had to make the hard decision to let Bella cross over the rainbow bridge.

Thank you Diana for sharing Ms Bella with all of us. We will always remember her!!!!
