IT’S A WRAP! 2026 MDI MARATHON!

Both Rescue 5 and our newly remounted Rescue 6 were standing by at the finish line, ready to respond if needed. It was a fantastic day filled with excitement, energy, and community spirit!

A big THANK YOU to our on-duty crews for their dedication and to our off-duty crew members who stopped by to show their support. We’re proud to be part of this wonderful community and grateful for the opportunity to help keep everyone safe!

🚑 A Great Day with Our Youngest Students! 🚑
We had a wonderful visit with our Pre-K through 2nd grade students!
Dwayne shared what we do as EMS providers and introduced students to some of the equipment we use. He also learned quite a bit about the many adventures—and injuries—our students have experienced! 😊
Corey, Julia, and Kristin gave students a tour of the ambulance and showed them what it’s like inside. Nurse Barb then talked with students about when and how to call 9-1-1 and emphasized the importance of knowing their home address in case they ever need help.
The students were curious, engaged, and excited to learn—and our crew had just as much fun! Thank you to all of our students and staff for being such a great audience! ❤️🚑

SWHTAS Medics, Dwayne and Jesse recently met with students at Tremont School to introduce them to the ambulance and some of the equipment we use in our work.

Connecting with children at an early age is an important part of what we do. These visits help young students become familiar with EMS, reduce fear or anxiety about ambulances and medical care, and teach them that their local EMS providers are there to help. Building these positive relationships early helps create a sense of trust and comfort that can make a real difference if a child or family ever needs our services. Thank you for being such a great audience!
